Leading Lines; Composition Assignment (Week 5)
Upon further research into different types of photography compositional techniques I have come across one called "Leading Lines". This is a technique that involves a line or objects that create an imagery of a line that actually pulls the viewers eyes into the shot and towards the photo's main subject. The line can be straight, curved, zig-zag, etc... as long as it allows the eye to travel through the photo, as if going on a short journey. I hope to capture a shot that I can share using this technique while taking pictures this week.

Hey Tory,
ReplyDeleteNice tip! I can see how you could use an element, such as a long low cement wall, to accent a street vendor selling his balloons. By setting the vendor off to one side of the frame and using the wall to draw your eye through the photo to him, you are 'surprised' by the vivid image! Voila!
